This lens had a jammed zoom mechanism. I disassembled this lens as pictured and found loose screws behind the focus mechanism. I secured the loose screws and now the zoom works as it should.

I have a Fujifilm S3 my daughter begged to borrow–first mistake–she said she “bumped” it and it stopped working. It is my portrait camera, I miss it, but could probably get another on ebay, is it worth having you look at it? What is your average repair charge? I live in Japan, teaching Learning Impaired kids, I miss having guys like you close to me, that actually speak English.
